Open Source Google

Google code is open and free to all!

Well, sort of. Google opened a new code section for developers today.

The APIs (search, adwords & desktop) are there and Google hosts open-source software using them. Kind of like a Google-centric SourceForge...

There is also a contest for the best program written with the API. I would love to nominate Did-it.com, but that'a probably a conflict of interest. I do love GoogleRace; without them I wouldn't know that Al Sharpton would be our president if "bowel movements" were the number one issue. I'll nominate them.

The coolest company just got cooler.

Thoughts?
