MapPoint Loses Its Way

While I've been waiting for Google to either buy MapQuest or build their own Web Map Service instead of sending searchers to Yahoo! or MQ, Microsoft has been building map software for some time now.

It's not without some kinks.

1. It's not integrated with MSN Search! If you put an address into the search bar, there is no map offering. How does MSN expect to compete when they're not even on par with Google and Yahoo? They already have the software.
2. There is also this: Most cars can't drive on water. And that doesn't seem to be the quickest route. MSN suggest you go through England, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and then back into Norway. For the scenic route, stop in Poland too.
