Torrent of Attacks on Torrents
At least no one is suing Bram Cohen, but you may have noticed the conspicuous downing of SuprNova, Torrent Reactor, TV Torrents all in one day.
Well it finally hapenned: The RIAA and MPAA (y'mach shemam - hamaivin yavin) went after my favorite P2P platform. Well, sort of. My downloads didn't seem to be affected, and the EFNet type sites (except for TV Torrents) are still up.
So why did the sites go down today? Hmm....
Maybe our good friends Apple, who are no strangers to draconian privacy measures (read AAC), had a hand in it.
Just something to think about while EDonkey and Gnutella sites prepare for the inevitable.
