The Strange World of AdSense
I wrote in a post this week that I couldn't remember the name of some artist. I still can't. When I checked the Blog this morning, AdSense was displaying ads for memory enhancers like Focus Factor--even for hypnosis.
I like Contextual Marketing, but it has ways to go. Some of the ads I get make sense, like anti-SPAM programs when I wrote about SPAM targeting. Some come out of nowhere, like ads for procrastinating (though I do like procastination) and survey sites (when did I ever mention the word "survey"?). Some are just funny, like ads for IQ tests and improvement because I use the word "stupid" a lot.
I'm sure smart pricing keeps click prices low on my blog, but the targeting of these ads need much improvement. Maybe the engineers at Google could use some DNA Modification to access their super human smarts.
